We arrived in Williamsport on Monday, August 21. The weather was crap, cold and rainy. All games on Monday were postponed, so we had to just hang out in the hotel after we arrived.
Yesterday, we watched Ohio vs Oregon. We sat right in the middle of all of the Ohio moms and dads. Sat right next to the starting pitcher's mom. I wish we could say Ohio was triumphant in beating Oregon, but unfortunately they were defeated 6-1. Then, the Georgia vs Massachusetts game got underway. We made it to the top of the second inning, Mass up to bat, 2 outs, and the game was postponed for rain! It was only 56 degrees and rainy all day!
This morning, we returned, and watched Georgia go on to finish the game, beating Massachusetts 8-1! Again, we were sitting right amongst all of the moms and dads. Number 3 from Georgia, Hunter Jackson's grandma was actually sitting next to me.
For the United States, Arizona and Minnesota are battling it out right now. We had to return to our hotel to watch this one, John is suffering from a tummy ache. Keep him in your thoughts, and lets hope we can be back out there tomorrow to root, root root for the home team!
