Before And After

I have searched, and searched for ANY picture of our old bed! This is the closest I can come up with. Please ignore how horrible I look in this photo. First of all, check out Jingles, his paws are right there on the laptop with my hands! Aw! Isn't that precious?!
Ok, now pay attention to the headboard. See the mirrors and the board over the mirrors?



So, the dilemma was how to make that bridge bigger to get a king sized bed!
So, John took the center bridge apart. Then, got a long piece of oak, polyurethaned it, and mounted it to the end uprights. Then, he placed the drawer sections on top of that board. So, we kept the storage, just eliminated the mirrors, and the top horizontal section. Make more sense? And of course a king mattress is 18" wider than a queen, so he centered the drawer section, and in the spare space, I had room to place 2 lamps. Pretty ingenious, huh?
