Bowling For Boobs
Today my co-workers, John and I participated in "Bowling For Boobs". All proceeds go to breast cancer research. At first I really didn't want to do it. I'd only bowled twice in my life, and I am not good at all. But, it was all for fun, and a great cause. So, we teamed up, and had a blast!
The first game started out rough. I threw 2 gutter balls in a row! What's up with that? I had a pityful 66 on my first game. But for the second game, I got a lot better, and got a 104. Shhh.....don't tell, but I beat John! :-) Of course he killed me in the first game. If you average the 2, he still killed me, but I love that I scored higher than him!
A good time was had by all. Can't wait until next year!

My Bad!!
Ok,....... It was MY turn to be bad!
I know, I know, don't lecture me, but I really HAD to get rid of my convertible. The thrill finally wore off. And for safety reasons, she had to go. We discovered on the Pennsylvania trip that my breaks really sucked in rainy conditions! To the point that I nicknamed Lilly "Killer" whenever it rained! I knew if I kept that car any longer, I would surely die in her.
So, I took the plunge, and researched more about the Saturn Aura. I wanted one when I bought the Sebring, and never could get it out of my thoughts. When I bought the convertible, I sacrificed a LOT of luxury (which I had grown accustomed to) in favor of a convertible, which I didn't use as often as I would have liked to.
The Saturn is an awesome car! It has room for my long legs, and even for John's long legs! It has head room, and trunk space for long trips, and safety is her middle name. She has airbags everywhere! and 5 star safety ratings.
So, there is another new vehicle in our garage. This one for ME! :-) The reality will hit me on November 5 when that first payment is due! Oy Vey! LOL
Here are some pictures of "Margarita" That is probably not going to be her name, I called her that yesterday, because when Judy and I left the car dealer's lot, I NEEDED a Margarita something fierce!
Who wants to take a ride out to the beach with me?!

Best Shadow Puppet Show Ever!
Have you seen this video yet? John's cousins sent it to us via email, and I just had to add it to my blog. It is soo cool! I can't even do the rabbit thing, let alone the things this guy does with his hands, and a light! Check it out!
Speaking of videos, if you scroll down, I added a link to the video of Warner Robins winning the Little League World Series. As many times as I've seen it, and I still get a little misty-eyed!
Today is officially the first day of fall. The weather here looks like the first day of the rainy season! Thunderstorms, pouring rain. A good day to stay inside and surf the internet. Shhh.....Don't tell John, he thinks I am sewing! LOL! I think Jingles and I will just hang out in our "room" today, stay inside, and stay dry. Email us if you get bored. :-)

John's New Toy
The only difference between men and boys is the price of their TOYS!
I came home Thursday night to find this parked in our driveway!
John has been NUTS about getting an older model Jeep. He found this one on autotrader.com. Complete with CAMO upholstery! Lordy, Lordy! So, off he went to bring it home!
He ended up saving money, so I told him with the money he had budgeted to buy it, and ended up saving, he needs to buy ME the newest ipod that's coming out. Doesn't that sound fair?! Please forward your votes to John's email! LOL!
Actually, it's great to see him smile. I know he loves this silly thing!

I "Think" My Room Is Done Now!
Ok, so I think I am finished with my room. We spent last weekend hanging the wallpaper border, and John painted my desk white. NOT the big, corner desk! We had a wood desk in the bonus room. This was my work space before my room! It housed my printer, AND my sewing/embroidery machine! How I ever worked in such cramped quarters, I'll never know! We had bought the desk at an unfinished wood store. We took a sample of the woodwork in the room, so they could match the stain. Well...they didn't do a very good job of matching! It was very dark, and a matte finish, and I absolutely HATED it! When John told me he wanted to put that desk in my room too, I was not very receptive! The desk was dark, and ugly, and matched NOTHING! So, on the drive to Pennsylvania I got to thinking, let's stain it a lighter shade to match the other furniture. Nope, he tells me we cannot stain lighter. Ok, hows about we paint it white? Yes he said! We'll sand it down and paint it white! Hooray! And immediately I knew I wanted pink crystal pull knobs.
The painting was a headache. Email John if you want to listen to his story! LOL! But, everything is in place, and the room looks great! I love my space! Thank you Puddin' Head!
I'm still looking for a chair to use with the white desk, so if anyone knows where I can get a pink task chair, drop me a line!
